In Senegal, Sadio Mane is fighting for the crown of Africa in Egypt. For the African Cup triumph, he would even sacrifice his greatest success so far.

Sadio Mane from Liverpool is currently in Senegal at the Africa Cup in Egypt and is fighting for the first title in the history of his homeland.

For the success with Senegal, he would even give up winning the Champions League with the Reds.

In an interview with France Football , Mane revealed that  he would trade the Champions League with Liverpool for the African Cup win with Senegal.

According to the 27-year-old, winning the Afcon would be a dream would come true.

Mane explained in the interview that the club are among the favourites for the tournament and it would be massive celebrations back home if they could bring back the trophy.

Mane also knows that his team has to make an effort to reach the big goal. He reiterated that the players know that its not enough just to get good results.

They would have to play attractive attacking football which would make the winning remembered for a long time.

After the Champions League triumph with Liverpool FC Mane is one of the biggest stars in the African Cup.

Senegal is blessed with an array of talents from Schalke defenders Salif Sane, Napoli KalidouKoulibaly and Inter Milan Keita Balde.

The 27 year old has several top-class teammates, with whom the first triumph with Senegal could be possible.

Mane missed the first game due to suspension in which Ivory Coast defeated Tanzania by two goals to nil.

He would be expected to feature for the rest of the tournament and would be looking to help his nation win their first Afcon in history.

If he can display the sort of form that he shows at Liverpool then Senegal could well be the team to beat.
